What a DuoPlus cloud phone needs from a proxy
DuoPlus lets you set a proxy per cloud phone, with type, host, port, username and password, and it tests the connection before applying it. Once applied, all traffic from the device's apps and browser leaves through the proxy, and the phone's timezone, locale and reported location can be aligned to the proxy's IP. That is the key requirement: a US IP with a real city so the device settings and the network agree.
Mobile apps are pickier than websites. Many call US-only endpoints, check the carrier of the IP, or refuse to work over a known hosting range. A mobile proxy answers those checks with a carrier IP, and because the exit is a physical modem in an American city, the location the app derives is a real one.

Attaching a USAProx proxy to a cloud phone
In your USAProx dashboard, pick a proxy in the metro you want the phone to live in, and note the host, HTTP port, SOCKS5 port, username and password. In DuoPlus, open the cloud phone's settings and find the proxy section. Choose the type; SOCKS5 is our recommendation for Android because apps use a mix of protocols and SOCKS5 with UDP carries them all, while HTTP is fine if only browser traffic matters.
Enter the host, the port for the type you chose, and the credentials, then run the test. Confirm the IP is American and the city matches. Apply the proxy, then set the phone's timezone and locale to match the city. Open a browser on the cloud phone and load an IP lookup page to double-check the address from inside the device. If it matches, install your apps.

Sticky IPs and rotation for cloud phones
A phone that stays logged into apps should keep one IP for the whole session. That is how our proxies behave by default: the address holds until you use the rotation link. Rotate between sessions, for example before you start a day's work on a phone or after you sign out. Rotations are unlimited and there is no wait between changes.
For tasks such as checking how an app store listing or an in-app price appears to different users, rotate between checks. The rotation link can be called from any browser or a script, and our API exposes the same action, so a batch of checks can each run on a fresh carrier IP. Avoid rotating while an app is in the middle of an upload or a purchase, because the modem reconnects for a moment.
Running a fleet of DuoPlus phones
Give each cloud phone its own USAProx proxy. Two phones on one IP share a history, and app platforms tend to link devices that way. Name the phone and the proxy the same, for example client, city and number, so the pairing is visible in both dashboards.
Group phones by metro. If a client's accounts belong in Miami, put all of their phones on Miami proxies with Miami timezones. DuoPlus supports grouping and batch operations across phones, and our dashboard lets you label proxies, so the two stay in step. DuoPlus also supports team access, so an operator can open a phone with its proxy already applied without handling credentials. Keep the proxy password in the phone configuration rather than in messages.
Troubleshooting cloud phones on mobile proxies
If the proxy test fails, recheck the credentials and confirm the port matches the type. If the test passes but an app says it has no network, the app may rely on UDP or on DNS outside the proxy; switch to SOCKS5. If an app reports a location that does not match the proxy city, the phone's timezone or locale was probably set before the proxy; correct them and restart the app.
Apps that use WebRTC or their own connectivity checks generally behave once all traffic is on SOCKS5. If an app signs you out unexpectedly, check whether a script or a colleague called the rotation link while the phone was in use. Keeping rotation between sessions avoids that.
