Local stock needs a local address
Best Buy's site and app assign a store from the visitor's location and then answer every stock, pickup and price question against that store. A carrier IP resolves to a metro, and behind carrier-grade NAT it is shared by many real Best Buy customers, which is why the site serves it the full page while a datacenter address gets challenged. Our lines are real AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon SIMs in real modems, routers and phones, one customer per line, so a check from a Miami line is a Miami shopper to the site and to the app's own endpoints. Set a store in that metro on the site and the two views agree.
Rotate per sweep, hold for pickup and checkout flows
Stock and price checks are signed-out and repetitive, so a new address per sweep keeps any one IP from looking like a monitor. Rotate from your dashboard, wait for the modem to re-attach and receive a new address from the carrier's regional pool, confirm the metro, then run the sweep. Addresses repeat because the pool is finite, which is fine. Cadence matters more: a shopper looks at a handful of products, not hundreds a minute.
Some flows need one visitor throughout. Adding an item to check pickup slots, following an open-box listing into the cart to see the final price, or completing a purchase your team is permitted to make should all run sticky from start to finish. Hold, complete, rotate. Any signed-in Best Buy account should live on its own sticky line with its own browser profile, away from monitoring, and Best Buy's terms on accounts and purchase limits apply exactly as written.
One line per metro, one worker per line
The clean arrangement is one line per metro you care about and one worker or browser profile per line. That worker owns its address, its rotation schedule and its store selection, so results are comparable across metros and nothing on one line affects another. Adding threads to a single line makes one carrier address open many connections at once, which is not what a phone does, and turns every rotation into a shared interruption. Scale by adding lines. Any account-per-proxy figure you have heard is a risk tradeoff, not a rule, and a proxy changes the network path only.
Eight metros, matched to the store and the clock
USAProx has lines in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Miami, North Carolina and Boston. Carrier geolocation is approximate to metro or state, and Best Buy refines it with the store you select, so choose a store inside the line's metro and keep it fixed. Set the browser profile's or worker's time zone to that metro and run checks during store hours, since pickup slots, open-box inventory and deal-of-the-day pricing change on the store's daily cycle. Running the same item list across all eight lines at the same local hour gives the cleanest regional comparison.
Reading a failed check
A bot check on a carrier IP points at cadence or at a desktop user agent on a mobile line. Rotate, wait, slow down, and present a mobile browser profile or use one of our real-phone lines instead. If stock answers come back for the wrong store, the store selection was lost on rotation; set it again after each new address, since the site may re-detect location when it first sees a new IP.
Compare the exit IP with the dashboard on an IP-check page whenever results look wrong, and confirm the metro is the one you ordered. Slow product pages at evening peak are 4G congestion; our lines run at 20-45 Mbps on 4G and 50+ Mbps on 5G, and unlimited data means a sweep across every metro never hits an allowance. Product and store pages load comfortably at 20-45 Mbps on 4G and faster on 5G at 50+ Mbps. Evening peak on a busy tower is slower, and each rotation adds a short pause while the modem re-attaches. Data is unlimited, so the size of a sweep is bounded by your cadence, not by an allowance.
